A private bus conductor assaulted following an accident in Nalluruwa, Panadura died at the Panadura Hospital on Sunday around 8.30 p.m. The victim was identified as Paththinige Chathura Weeranga Fernando, 22. Police are investigating to arrest the assailants who had fled.
Police said they were interrogating the driver and the private bus owner.
Panadura Additional Magistrate Dilhani Liyanage visited the Panadura Hospital Mortuary and conducted the magisterial inquiry.
She ordered the Panadura AJMO to perform an autopsy and submit a report to Court.
