The President has assured bus owners he will appoint a committee to look into issues faced by private bus owners.
The announcement comes in the wake of an island wide protest by private bus owners yesterday.
The private bus owners called off their strike this morning after the President yesterday agreed to meet with them.
The private bus owners are protesting the proposed government decision to impose a minimum fine of Rs.25, 000 on 7 traffic offences.
