The Grand Finale of the All Island Accounting Quiz Competition - Esperenza 2016, organised by the student body of the Department of Accounting, Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), was held successfully on November 01 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium.
The Chief Guest at the event was Prof. Sampath Amarathunga - Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Dr U. Anura Kumara, Dean-Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, other distinguished guests, students and teachers of the competing schools and students of the Department of Accounting attended.
Out of seven hundred schools, four schools were selected for the final round including Nalanda Collage - Colombo, Bandaranaike Balika Vidyalaya - Ampara, Sri Sangamiththa Balika Maha Vidyalaya - Mathale and Dharmawikrama Balika Vidyalaya - Kandy. At the end of the competition, Nalanda Collage won the Grand Prize. Bandaranaike Balika Vidyalaya - Ampara and Sri Sangamiththa Balika Maha Vidyalaya - Mathale won the second and third places respectively.
