Former Mayoress of the Batticaloa Municipal Council Sivageetha Prabagaran and three others who are alleged to have a run a brothel at her Thandavenvely residence along the Batticaloa- Trincomalee high way was released on bail yesterday.
She was released on bail with two sureties of Rs.200,000 each and a cash bail or Rs.20,000. The case was fixed for January 5 and they were ordered to be present to Batticaloa police station every Sunday.
Five of the nine persons including the former Batticaloa Mayores arrested on October 23 in a raid conducted by the Police were released earlier.
