Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association President Gemunu Wijeratne yesterday said his association will not extend any support to the trade union action initiated by a handful of bus trade unions. “We are not for trade union action that demand permission to kill people,” he said.
Meanwhile, All Ceylon Private Bus Operators Association President Stanley Fernando yesterday said their trade union action will continue until the government agrees to stop implementing the increase in the fine.
He also said the trade union action was a success.
