Journalists should contribute not only to control drugs supply but also the drugs demand, National Dangerous Drug Control Board (NDDCB) Director General K. Gamage said.
He was attending the drug prevention and training programme for journalists yesterday at the Government Information Department.
Gamage said the training programme main aim is to develop journalists' competencies and skills to provide accurate and timely information to the general public.
NDDC Chairman Prof. Ravindra Fernando, Precursor Control Authority Scientific Officer Amila Abeysinghe, NDDCB Research Unit Assistant Director Badrani Senanayake, National Narcotic Laboratory Assistant Director Pabasara Weerasinghe and National Drug Regulatory Authority Chief Food and Drugs Inspector Amith Perera participated.
