National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa yesterday said that former Deputy Minister Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharana alias Karuna Amman and former Minister Tissa Attanayake are being held on unconfirmed grounds.
Weerawansa expressed these observations when he visited several inmates at the remand prisons with Parliamentarians Udaya Gammanpila, C.B. Ratnayake and Janaka Wakkumbura.
Attanayake is being held in remand custody for allegedly inciting racism even though he did not make such an attempt, Weerawansa said.
