The Justice Ministry declared that the amnesty extended to the military deserters would not be extended further and disciplinary actions will be taken against those who fail to obtain legal discharge within the period.
The government announced an amnesty from December 1 to 31 for deserters to receive legal discharge from their service.
Five officers and 3868 personnel in the Army, two officers and 388 personnel in the Navy, 13 officers and 165 personnel in the Air Force received legal discharge during the amnesty.
