Public health inspectors in Kattankudy inspected a shop on Kattankudy main road and seized a stock of nearly 1,500 kgs of unhygienic food items kept for sale on Saturday and arrested the shop owner. Among the items seized were biscuits, B onions, Maldive fish, dhal and food additives. The shop owner was produced before Batticaloa Magistrate M. Ganesharaja and released on Rs. 50,000 personal bail.
