Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has agreed to amend the draft Development (Special Provisions) Bill, Southern Province Chief Minister Shan Wijeylal de Silva has said.
The Chief Minister said the Premier had made know his intention during a meeting with the Chief Ministers this afternoon.
Last evening the Uva Provincial Council rejected the draft Bill 13-9, while the Northern Provincial Council unanimously rejected it today.
