Olympic Medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe admitted to the Diyatalawa Hospital a few days back following a sudden illness, was airlifted to the National Hospital in Colombo yesterday. National Hospital National Coordinator (Training) Pushpa Ramyani de Soysa said
Jayasinghe was recovering from fever and the doctors suspectd that she had dengue. Jayasinghe who had visited Diyatalawa to attend a private function had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Diyatalawa Hospital last Tuesday. Pushpa Ramyani de Soysa yesterday confirmed that Susanthika Jayasinghe had been airlifted to Colombo for treatment.
