Two women had been found murdered around 2.30 p.m yesterday at a house in Nawimana North, Matara, police said.
According to preliminary investigations conducted by Matara police, a group of people had entered the said house and murdered the two women. The deceased were the mother and the wife of one Palitha Abeywardena, who resides in the said house. Matara police is further investigating.
