Criminal Investigation Department has been deployed to Batticaloa over the death of the two police officers in Batticaloa, stated the Police Media Spokesperson.
Headed by SP of Batticaloa Police Division, will conduct investigations over the shooting of the 2 policemen. The measure has been taken under the orders of the Inspector General of Police, the Police Media Spokesperson said.
The causes of death are yet to be ascertained. Apart from the special CID, the Special Task Force is also conducting investigations into the matter.
