On a directive issued by the Western Province Governor M. Azath S.Salley, 62 casual workers working in the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC), will be made permanent from February 1.
The governor said that these employees who were attached to the Drainage Division of the CMC, have been working on a temporary basis for a number of years indefinitely.
“ In recognition of their continuous and efficient services ,I have confirmed their permanency from next month,” the governor said.
