The CID today informed Colombo Fort Magistrate’s court that they have commenced an investigation into the conduct of Director (Operations) of Anti-Corruption Movement Namal Kumara.
Filing a further report in Court, the CID further stated that Namal Kumara has been identified as an Army deserter in 2010. The CID further told that Namal Kumara had submitted a forged educational certificate (GCE A/L) to the Air force and Sri Lanka Army. The CID they commenced a separate inquiry regarding this matter. The CID further stated that they received Namal Kumara’s correct educational certificates from the Examinations Department.
