Former Navy Lieutenant Commander, Chandana Prasad Hettiarachchi who was arrested in connection with the abduction and forced disappearance of 11 youth from Colombo was further remanded till 9th of January 2019.
The case was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake this morning.
Earlier, the Criminal Investigations Department informed the court that the suspects who abducted the 11 youth had used the name of Annachchi, a notorious underworld figure to call the relatives of youth, intimidate them and demand ransom for their release.
