Lankan arrested at BIA with 57 birds from Bangkok

Customs officers arrested a Sri Lankan arrived from Bangkok at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) along with 57 birds valued at Rs. 800,000 around 10.45 p.m. on Wednesday.

The suspect is a resident of Marawila. He had arrived on the UL 407 flight.

He was arrested by the Customs Officials of the BCNP Division at the Green Channel of the BIA Arrival Terminal. Investigations are continuing.
