Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Arjuna Ranatunga has introduced a new Face Book page through which the public can submit their opinions and proposals with an objective of making the transport service more efficient and people friendly
The public can also make complaints on alleged corruptions in the institutions coming under the purview of Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation by accessing this face book page- Arjuna Ranathunga – Inquiries Centre.
The Minister made this revelation while addressing the Ministry officials for the new year at the Ministry yesterday.
He said that the Ministry’s target is to provide more efficient and quality service to the public this year
The Minister requested the officials and the employees to work for the betterment of the transport sector. “If the institutions coming under my ministry record continuous loss, we cannot stop privatization of these institutions. We should make more commitment to make these institutions more productivity”, he said
The Minister added that all employees have a responsibility to protect these institutions for the posterity.
