The Budget proposal for the year 2019, presented by Polpithigama Pradeshiya Sabha(PS) Chairman R.L. RanjithWijenayake (SLPP), was passed with a majority of 28 votes.
The Budget proposal received 29 votes in favour and one against.
Seventeen SLPP members, nine UNP members and three SLFP members voted in favour while the JVP member voted against the Budget.
