National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa today filed an appeal notice in Colombo Commercial High Court regarding the judgment delivered over the book titled Neththa Venuwata Aththa.
Filing this notice through counsel Kapila Gamage, parliamentarian Weerawansa informed that he is expecting to file an appeal in Supreme Court challenging the Commercial High Court judgment dated January 11, 2019.
Through his appeal, MP Weerawansa is expecting to seek an order to set aside the Commercial High Court judgment which ordered him to pay a sum of one million rupees as damages to JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva.
