Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya PC has been appointed as the new Chief Justice.
He took his oaths before President Mahtiirpala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.
Solicitor General Dappula de Livera, PC has been appointed as the acting Attorney General Meanwhile, Additional Auditor General Chulantha Wickrmaratne has been appointed as the new Auditor General.
Apart from this, Senior DIG C.D. Wickramratne has been appointed as the Acting Inspector General of Police and former IGP N.K. Ilangakoon has been appointed as a consultant to the Ministry of Defence.
All of them received their appointment letters from President Maithripala Sirisena this morning communique issued by the President Media Unit said.
