Former Army Commander General S. H. Shantha Kottegoda has been appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Defense.
He took his oaths before President Mathripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this evening.
He received his appointment letter from President Maithripala Sirisena this evening communique issued by the President Media Unit said.
