A suspicious van bearing the license plate No 250-5680, which is believed to have transported explosives and suspected terrorists to Sainthamaruthu, has been taken into the custody of the police.
It was revealed that they had taken the terrorists to Kalmunai on the request of a religious priest.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Sally Nazar, resident of Ihala Puliyankulama in Maradankadawal
After the questioning, the suspect and the van have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department, said the Police.
