Imtiaz Ali’s love ballad ‘Love Aaj Kal’ can easily be called one of Saif Ali Khan’s best films. When the news of a sequel being made on the film did the rounds, everyone was very excited to see who plays the leads this time.
To everyone’s surprise, Saif’s daughter and nation’s newest crush, Sara Ali Khan was roped in to star opposite Kartik Aaryan in the sequel and rumour had it that Saif will play her father in the film.
Denying the scoop, Saif said, “I’d honestly want to play every role provided it’s interesting enough and if the time permitted it. Though Imtiaz was very kind to offer me a part in the sequel of ‘Love Aaj Kal’, I haven’t signed the film contrary to the rumours.”
Adding to this, he also expressed his excitement of seeing Sara collaborate with Imtiaz for the film,
“It’s a lovely movie and I’m very excited in particular that Sara is working with Imtiaz Ali. I wish both the young stars - Sara and Kartik Aaryan the best.” Filmfare
