A special discussion on the development of cashew plantations in the Northern Province belonging to the Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation belonging to the Ministry of Plantation Industries was held at the Ministry premises yesterday under the patronage of Plantation Industries Minister Navin Dissanayake
The Minister instructed the Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation to take measures to develop the cashew plantations in the Northern Province and to uplift the living standards of the people in the province.
He also emphasized the importance of using cashew-based employment opportunities to reduce unemployment in the province
