The Acting IGP has ordered the CID to conduct an investigation over two T-56 assault rifles which were missing from Panadura police station.
The initial investigation was launched on July 6 under the direction of the Western Province DIG.
On July 15th, the Acting IGP interdicted the Officer-In-Charge of the Panadura North Police Station IP Prabath Paranawithana with the approval of the National Police Commission over the case.
