The temporary closed Management Faculty of the Peradeniya University will be reopened on Monday said Vice Chancellor Upul Dissanyake.
The Management Faculty had to be closed following a students’ obstruction to a decision taken by the university administration to set up CCTV cameras in the Management Faculty.
Opposing the students’ agitation the academic staff of the faculty has refrained from academic activities and therefore this situation lead to close the faculty.
However, both parties have come to a conclusion to setup 6 cameras instread of 22 CCTV cameras and to open the faculty.
Earlier it has been planned to install 22 CCTV cameras. Accordingly university administration has informed the management faculty undergraduates to report to hostels by Saturday afternoon.
