Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, said the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places Uva and Eastern provinces and in Mullaitivu district after 2.00p.m.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
