Tangalle police arrested two suspects for robbing cash and valuables from devotees in Kataragama recently.
Police said one suspect (52) is a resident of Kataragama and the other (27) is a resident of Gaminipura.
They had cut the devotees’ bags with knives and stole the content in them, police said.
Two knives and 14 mg of heroin were seized with the suspects, police said. The suspects were to be produced before theTissamaharama Magistrate’s Court.
