The Ministry of Health has requested the dengue patients and those who have fever to refrain from taking drugs such as Aspirin, Diclofenac Sodium, Mefenamic Acid, Other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Steroids such as Prednisolone, Methyl-Prednisolone, and Dexamethasone.
Health Services Director General Dr Jayasinghe said that the doctors should avoid prescribing such painkillers.
