Special notice for O / L candidates

The Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha has informed the candidates to notify the Department of Examinations, If there are any change in the subjects and subject numbers of candidates who have applied for the GCE (O / L) Examination.

He said school applicants can make necessary amendments through the Principal and private applicants can directly contact the Department of Examinations.

Meanwhile, Persons who conduct tuition classes, lectures, seminars, workshops or any form of educational aids related to the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, are requested to conclude them by midnight on December 27, Wednesday by the Examinations Department.    

According to the Examinations Commissioner General Sanath Poojitha, the Examinations Department has instructed that all tuition classes, lectures, and workshops or in such form related to the G.C.E. O/L examination must conclude before midnight on December 27th.

Strict legal action will be taken against those who do not abide by these regulations, he noted.

The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2019 will be held from December 2 to 12. The Department disclosed that 717,008 candidates were registered to sit the exam at 4,987 examination centres islandwide. Of the 717,008 candidates 433,050 are school candidates while the balance 283,958 candidates are private candidates. The exam will be coordinated through 541 coordinating centres.
