Parallel to the reduction of VAT, the price of a locally produced 50 kg bag of cement will be reduced by Rs.100.
The price reduction will come in to effect from next week, said Internal Trade and Consumer Welfare State Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
Accordingly, the maximum price of a locally produced bag of cement will be Rs. 995.
