A leading drug trafficker Herath Mudiyanselage Thushara alias 'Kalu Thushara’ was today sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court after being found guilty for possessing and peddling 25.77grams of heroin.
The accuse 'Kalu Thushara' a resident of Wellampitiya and had been arrested along with 59 grams of heroin by Organized Crime Prevention Division in Sedawatte area while transporting the heroin on a motorcycle in 2017.
The case was taken up before the High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga and he observed that the prosecution has proved the case beyond reasonable doubts.
