The Elections Commission issued a Gazette Notification naming Waruna Priyantha Liyanage for the Ratnapura district parliamentary slot which fell vacant with the demise of parliamentarian Ranjith Soyza.
He contested the last General election from Ratnapura district under the UPFA.
