Huawei to introduce exciting new range of wearables in 2020

One of the leading information and communications technology providers in the world, Huawei transfers its cutting-edge technology to you through a variety of wearables. The Chinese-based company creates stunning smartwatches and bands that are as feature-packed as they are elegant. Huawei is set to introduce four new additions to their range of wearables in 2020: Huawei Watch GT2, FreeBuds 3, Huawei Band 4 and Huawei Band 4e.

Peter Liu, Country Head – Huawei Devices Sri Lanka commented, “We are planning to introduce the new range of Huawei wearables to Sri Lanka in the year 2020. 2019 has been lively for Huawei and we are excited for the challenges and opportunities that the next year will bring to us. The perfect embodiment of both aesthetic appeal and function, Huawei wearables exude elegance and superiority with its technological and visual capabilities. We have always strived our best to provide the best of technologies to Sri Lanka, and we are enthused to see the reception that these wearables attract through our Sri Lankan fan base next year.”

Renowned for its exceptional capabilities, the latest Huawei Watch GT2 update brings exciting new features. Sound controls have been added to the settings menu for controlling call and notification volume, while raise-to-wake and heart-rate monitor sensitivity have also been optimized. The 46mm watch has a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and a brightness of 1,000 nits. The Watch GT2 is powered by Huawei’s home-grown Kirin A1 chipset, which includes intelligent power-saving technology. It consists of a 2GB of RAM and 4GB of storage, out of which 2.2GB is usable space – enough to hold around 500 songs, along with the ability to seamlessly call anyone through Bluetooth. The Huawei Watch GT2 also supports smartphones running on Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 9.0 or higher.

Being the world’s first open-fit active noise-cancellation Bluetooth earphones, Huawei’s Freebuds 3 are tailored to work and adapt to different ear canal shapes. With a rounded design and a weight of 4.5g each, they are also comfortable to use for an extended period. Huawei’s intelligent active noise-cancellation feature can be turned on simply by double tapping the left earbud. Huawei has implemented a feature called Bone Voice ID on the Freebuds 3 which will come in extremely useful for users while making calls. This technology helps differentiate between a user’s voice during a call and background noise by picking up vibrations from the movement of your mouth. Using this information the Freebuds 3 automatically lowers ambient noise, enabling you to enjoy your calls with much higher audio quality.

Huawei Band 4 and Huawei Band 4e feature a PMOLED color display with a resolution of 48×88 pixels over the space of 0.5 inches. With the feature of water resistance up to 50 meters, Huawei Band 4/4e is the ideal companion for the user during sweating workouts, surfing or swimming. Huawei Band 4/4e has the functions of step counting, sleep monitoring, sedentary reminders, and message alerts on various mobile phones. The significant difference being that Huawei Band 4e Basketball Wizard Edition is designed to be the ideal companion in basketball with its workout modules being monitored specifically, both Huawei Band 4 and Huawei Band 4e serve as intense workout monitors that contribute for an appreciably healthier life.

In 2019, Huawei was ranked 47th on BrandZ Top 100 list of Most Valuable Global Brands, 79th in Forbes World’s Most Valuable Brands and 25th on the Brand Finance Global 500 Most Valuable Brands lists. HUAWEI has also achieved the number 68th position on Interbrand’s Best Global Brands list last year. Additionally, Huawei holds the 61st slot on Fortune’s Global 500.
