Former Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne’s bail application was rejected by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.
The former Health Minister arrived at the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court this morning for the hearing of his anticipatory bail application.
He yesterday filed an anticipatory bail application in the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court to prevent his arrest over white van incident.
Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne fixed inquiries into the anticipatory bail application for today. Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne filed an anticipatory bail application yesterday seeking an order to release him on bail if he was arrested over white van incident.
Two people who were arrested for making a controversial statements about the “white van” incident at a press briefing conducted by the former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, had earlier remanded till December 27.
The arrested had earlier revealed information regarding the involvement of former Minister Rajitha Senaratne in the white van incident.
