The son of the main suspect in the acid attack on six persons in Morontota, Wewala along with his wife were arrested by Bulathkohopitiya police and produced before Kegalle Additional Magistrate Nisanthi Abeyratne on January 18.
The son, Nimal Dilrukshi Premasiri, was ordered to be remanded till January 18 and the mother was released.
Two groups in Morontota clashed on January 11 night on a prolonged vendetta and eight persons had been injured. Two of the injured have been under treatment at the Mahanuwara Hospital and one at the Kegalle hospital including the main suspect, Nimal Premaratne, who was later remanded after the treatment.
