The students, teachers and staff returning to Sri Lanka from countries where the new corona virus is prevalent will be quarantined for a period of 14 days, the Education Ministry said.
Issuing a press statement today, the Education Ministry said it has given instructions to the Heads of all schools and educational institutions that the students, teachers and academic and non academic staff returning to Sri Lanka from China,South Korea, Italy and other countries where patients of new corona virus have been reported must undergo a quarantine period of 14 days.
New corona virus (COVID 19) is now reported in over 70 countries in the world. The Education Ministry said that the instructions were given based on a request made by the Health Ministry.
