Sources from the UPFA say that the signing of nominations of the Sri Lanka People’s Alliance (SLPA) for the forthcoming general election has reached its final stage.
Nominations for several districts have already been finalised, and the UPFA is expected to close its nominations in the next few days.
The signing of the nomination papers of the People’s Alliance commenced on March 11 under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
