Samurdhi and Agriculture Research officers to donate Rs.30 million to COVID – 19 Fund
The Samurdhi Development Officers and the Agriculture Research Officers will donate RS. 30 million to the COVID – 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund.
Samurdhi Development Officers and the Agriculture Research Officers numbering 30,000 will donate a sum of Rs. 1,000/- each from their April months salary for this purpose, S.A.D.Jagath Kumara, General Secretary of the All Sri Lankan Samurdhi Development Officers’ Association said.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa established this Fund on March 23.
With direct deposits and donations from organizations and individual donors the COVID – 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’s balance has surpassed Rs. 242 million, according to the President’s Media Division.
