Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 recovery cases have increased to 941 according to the Epidemiology unit as of yesterday.
Twenty two individuals were discharged from the Homagama base hospital, 13 from the Kattankudy base hospital, seven from the Minuwangoda hospital and five from the IDH. Two others were discharged from Iranawila and one from the Welikanda base hospital during the last 48 hours.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report updated at 8.30 pm on Saturday, 912 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 46 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
A total of 73,996 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 5, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
Seven new cases
Seven new positive cases of COVID-19 was reported yesterday bringing the total cases in Sri Lanka to 1821. Out of the five new cases, four are returnees from Kuwait and another one from Bangladesh, the Government Information Department said.
