A special SriLankan Airlines flight (UL-1423) with 223 Sri Lankans who were stranded in the Philippines, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport from the Manila Airport, Philippines on Thursday night.
Most of these passengers were students studying at higher education institutions in the Philippines and employees of various companies in Manila.
The incoming passengers were subjected to PCR tests and accommodated in several hotels until the results of the tests were known. Any passengers found to be having the Coronavirus will be directed to hospital while the others will be directed to Forces-run quarantine centres. Their baggage too was disinfected.
