The Sri Lanka Customs seized over 5,000 Ecstasy tablets worth Rs.20 million at the Colombo Cargo Express courier bond yesterday (10) afternoon.
According to Customs sources, the tablets had been concealed in a cardboard carton, among clothes that had arrived as a gift.
The carton had arrived from France and was addressed to a 35-year-old man from Aluthkade. Preliminary investigations are being carried out by Customs officials.
