A woman has been praised on social media for owning up to being part of the tense situation that was reported in front of the Angulana Police Station yesterday.
A group of area residents had pelted stones at the Police Station over the death of a fisherman from the area, who was reported to have been shot dead by Police at a roadblock on 10 July.
A Police officer addressing the crowd in the area assured the residents that the decision granted by the court over the death of the fisherman will be implemented 100%.
He further warned that those who had pelted stones at the Police Station will have to appear before the court, and cannot avoid it.
When questioned by the officer as to who would like to own up to being part of the incident, one woman bravely accepted.
“I accept that I pelted stones. I told you so before too. I will appear in courts”, she announced from within the crowd.
The Police officers in the area later escorted the woman to be presented before Courts.
14 individuals, including 9 women have so far been arrested over the incident. (Newswire)
