Schools in various parts of Sri Lanka have commenced the use of e – learning platforms for academic activities.
In the video shared below, teachers from the Jaffna Hindu College is seen using the innovative e-platform to educate students who are at home.
Students across Sri Lanka had to temporarily forego close to over 3 months of academic activities due to the coronavirus outbreak from March.
As a result a number of schools were forced to move to the -e- learning platform in a bid to cover the allocated syllabus.
It is reported that a rural school in Nochchiyagama and the Anuradhapura Central College too have moved to the e- learning platform but some have questioned the move pointing out student who don’t have the necessary technology facilities will miss out on education. (Newswire)
