Parliament seeks public opinion on 06 newly nominated Ambassadors

The Parliament of Sri Lanka has sought public opinion on the new Ambassadors nominated recently for various Sri Lankan Missions overseas.

The Committee on High Posts of the Parliament of Sri Lanka is due to examine the suitability of the persons nominated / appointed to the following posts.

• Admiral (Retd.) K. K. V. P Harischandra de Silva – Nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan

• Vishramal Sanjiv Gunasekara – Nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan

• Asoka Milinda Moragoda – Nominated as the High Commissioner of Sir Lanka to the Republic of India

• Ravinatha Ariyasinha – Nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United States of America

• Professor. Kshanika Hirimburegama – Nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the French Republic

• Dr. Palitha Kohona – Nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the People’s Republic of China

Organizations or individuals willing to make representations in this regard have been requested to send their signed written memoranda under registered cover to The Secretary, Committee on High Posts, Committee Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte on or before 23 September 2020.
