The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 said that six new COVID-19 patients were found as at today morning.
One of the affected person had been identified as an inmate of the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation center and the rest of them were returnees from India, Bahrain and Qatar.
The total recoveries in the country has risen to 2918.
According, there are only 191 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.
The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 3,121. Sri Lanka has witnessed 12 deaths from the virus so far.
