United National Party will appoint a new leader on January 1st 2021, UNP legal secretary Nishshanka Nanayakkara announced today.
Nishshanka Nanayakkara told media that UNP will appoint a deputy leader to the now vacant position very soon and that deputy leader will take up the party leadership on January 1st, 2021.
He said that UNP working committe which will meet on Monday, is expected to finalize the appointment of UNP deputy leader. (NewsWire)
