MP Rishad Bathiudeen who is in remand custody arrived in Parliament to participate in the debate on the 20th Amendment wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as he is on quarantine at the Pallansena Camp in Negombo. The MP was also allocated a special seat inside the Chamber in keeping with social distancing regulations.Party Leaders decided to allow the MP to attend sittings in keeping with the Parliament (Powers & Privileges) Act.
