A special operation has been launched to nab a COVID-19 infected patient who had gone missing on November 19 while receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH).
The COVID-19 positive woman and her 2 1/2year son who was admitted to IDH escaped from the Hospital on November 19.
However, the police managed to find the child from a house in Eheliyagoda yesterday (20).
It was revealed that the mother had handed over her child to one of her relatives residing in the area.
The police headquarters are requesting the public support to locate the missing patient.
